Advance Auto Parts could be mulling sale: Report

Shares of Advanced Auto Parts popped as much as 11 percent following a report that the company is eyeing a sale after being approached by a possible buyer.

The stock was last up nearly 8 percent. Click here for the latest stock quote.

StreetInsider reported that shareholders could expect about $200 a share if the sale goes through, citing a source familiar with the matter.

No deal has been reached, per the report.

Advanced Auto Parts did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.
