Simon Hobbs is an anchor, based at CNBC Global Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, N.J. Hobbs can be seen throughout CNBC's Business Day programming (5AM-7PM ET).
Hobbs is an award-winning anchor and previously anchored a number of programs on CNBC Europe, most recently "
European Closing Bell" and "
Europe Tonight." Hobbs was also host of "
The Leaders," a series of one-to-one interviews with Europe's business and political elite.
Hobbs began his career in radio, producing some of the biggest names in UK broadcasting before moving to television. His work for news organizations includes Reuters, Sky News, BBC, Channel 4 and London Weekend Television. In November 2006, Hobbs was named International TV Presenter of the Year by the Association for International Broadcasters (AIB).
Hobbs holds a bachelor's of science degree in economics from University College London.
