Federated Strategist Bullish On Tech

Thursday, 22 Mar 2007 | 1:23 PM ET

Linda Duessel, equity market strategist for Federated Investors, told CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” that investors should keep an eye on technology stocks despite the continued volatility that will accompany a needed market correction.

"We’re still in the camp that says we should carry on with this correction we started a few weeks ago,” she said Thursday. “There will be continued volatility – we’ll go from hot to cold…We still think there’s a correction that we need to endure.”

Duessel reminded investors that the correction is “just a correction” and she remains bullish about the future of the market.

“One of our favorite sectors is technology,” she said. “The growth stocks haven’t worked so well. We think capital expenditures for technology look good. Those valuations look pretty good to us.”
