Analysts had been expecting the company to post earnings of $1.25 a share, according to data complied by Thomson Financial.

East West Bancorp : If you bought on Monday at $35.86 and held/sold on Tuesday with a close of $39.85, the contestant gained 11.13% on the trade. EWBC announced that its board of directors declared a quarterly common stock cash dividend of $0.10 per share for the second quarter of 2007.
