Analysts Predict Higher-Than-Expected Earnings for AT&T

With AT&T to report earnings Tuesday, two analysts told "Power Lunch" that the exclusive provider of wireless service for the iPhone will report higher-than-expected numbers.

"I think that they [iPhones] are going to be fairly successful over the next two years," said Frank Louthan, telecom analyst at Raymond James, linking AT&T's earnings report to high iPhone sales.

William Power, telecom analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co., agrees that iPhone "will garner a fair amount of attention" and will boost AT&T's second quarter.

"I think the real Litmus test will be how much contribution and upside can it [AT&T] provide in Q3 and Q4, and I think it will provide some upside to current estimates," Power said.

Power focuses more on the wireless segment as a whole, which he said has been "the core driver" of AT&T.
