Microsoft Buying Yahoo?

Should Microsoft (MSFT) buy Yahoo! (YHOO) to become a major player in internet search? Wait until you hear who is telling Bill Gates to open up his wallet! It's Henry Blodget.

According to a post Blodget's website Internet Outsider, buying Yahoo! is the 'only' answer if the software giant wants to triple its share of search market. (It’s worth nothing that Blodget, a former Merrill Lynch tech analyst, was barred from the securities industry in 2003)

It’s not an outrageous idea, says Karen Finerman.

It makes sense adds Jeff Macke. Microsoft is swimming in cash and Yahoo! would be a sensible acquisition. He recommends either company as a buy, although Macke feels MSFT is the safer play.
