Warren Buffett will be appearing live three times on CNBC and CNBC.com Tuesday (December 11) in connection with the fund-raiser he's hosting in San Francisco for Hillary Clinton's presidential bid.
1. Buffett will be interviewed live by CNBC's Becky Quick at about 10:15a ET on Squawk on the Street.
2. CNBC.com will provide a live video stream of the Clinton fund-raising event itself at the San Francisco Hilton, billed as a "Conversation with Warren Buffett." It's scheduled to begin at 4p ET, 1p PT. (A link to the player will be available in CNBC.com's Top News and Analysis column on the home page and here on Warren Buffett Watch shortly before the event begins.)
3. Following the event, Buffett and Clinton will do a joint live CNBC interview with Becky. That should happen sometime in CNBC's Fast Money, which begins at 5p ET.
Buffett's willingness to make all these appearances on behalf of Senator Clinton comes as the horse race between Clinton and Barack Obama appears to tighten. The San Francisco Chronicle reports that "some political observers" are debating whether Obama's gains in Iowa and New Hampshire could weaken what has been seen as Clinton's "iron grip" on California's Democratic primary.
