Driving to the studio we were full of excitement not knowing what to expect. Luckily as we were getting ready for our show, we were able to watch the taping of another episode which helped us understand the flow of the show and how much fun it was going to be.

Prior to our taping, we were taken on a quick tour of the studio where we watched the background video taken at our house. The video had amazing editing both in the computer lab and out with our tractor. Here we were at CNBC studios watching our home life on an HD monitor. To see our story presented in such a masterful way was extraordinary.

After checking out the studio, we were taken into a room where all our consultants were and we began speaking with as many as possible. It was wonderful to meet them prior to being on camera and a great opportunity to glean some of their insights.

Then before we knew it, we were being taken to the set and there was Donny along with Noel Lee, Headmonster from Monster Cableand Kathy Gornik from Thiel Audio. It was great hearing Kathy talk about her early days operating on a shoestring at CES (been there and still doing that) and Noel talking about the support he got from his Mom. Our story has a lot of Mom energy as well so it made us feel as though we could succeed despite how tough it’s been thus far.

Then we were treated to the positive vibes of Dr. Doug Hirschhorn, who was quite generous with his wisdom and encouraging with his words. Our next advisor was Mike Michalowicz from Obsidian Launch who spoke about the tools necessary for a successful entrepreneurial experience. Paul Wimer from Topspin Partners offered advice about the importance of getting the necessary capital and maintaining a positive cash flow. The final expert was “Pink” Magazine Co-owner and founding editor, Cynthia Good, who shared tips on excelling at networking and making it work for you.

Donny was fantastic and the consummate professional who kept the pace going at a steady clip and knew just what to say at all times. Interspersed with our brisk discussion were webcam questions coming in from all across the country. All and all, it was a thrilling experience.

At the end of the show, Donny went around the group and asked each of us what our take away thought was and if we had it to do over again we’d say “We have what it takes and we’re going to succeed!”
