Macke: Playing Defense

You might have to accept that we’re in a bear market and Ben Bernanke can’t save it, Jeff Macke said on Thursday’s Closing Bell. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t buying opportunites - investors just need to be picky.

Jeff’s plan is to stay defensive. He recommended Merck , down a sharp 5% on negative news about its drug Vytorin. Big Pharma names are traditionally defensive and a beaten-down Merck is Jeff’s favorite for right now.
