You might have to accept that we’re in a bear market and Ben Bernanke can’t save it, Jeff Macke said on Thursday’s Closing Bell. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t buying opportunites - investors just need to be picky.

While the drug companies are beaten down, there might be some opportunities. Fast Money's Jeff Macke shares his investment strategy.

Jeff’s plan is to stay defensive. He recommended Merck , down a sharp 5% on negative news about its drug Vytorin. Big Pharma names are traditionally defensive and a beaten-down Merck is Jeff’s favorite for right now.
