CNBC Presents "For the Love of Money: The Death of Seth Tobias"

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., March 26, 2008-Seth Tobias, a rising hedge fund star with everything to live for was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the age of 44. Was Seth Tobias a victim of murder, or his own demons? And how far will people go for the love of money?

On Monday, March 31st at 9PM & 12AM ET, CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, presents "For The Love of Money: The Death of Seth Tobias," an original one-hour documentary reported by CNBC senior correspondent Scott Cohn.

For the first time, CNBC brings you the real story of the death of Seth Tobias, a young hedge fund manager in his prime with a wide following and a personal life as volatile as the markets.

Tobias, the founder of the $300 million Circle T Family of Funds, was found dead the swimming pool of his Jupiter, Florida mansion on Labor Day. His death was already the subject of intense speculation when a man claiming to be Tobias' personal assistant came forward with a wild claim: Billy Ash said he had a murder confession on tape from Tobias' wife, Filomena. Tobias' brothers try to use Ash and his testimony to block Filomena from inheriting her husband's estate. While Filomena denies killing her husband, the alleged confession is at the center of a bitter estate battle, and a bizarre tale of sex, drugs and greed and in this one-hour documentary CNBC investigates every twist and turn.
