Co-Host, Opening Bell Radio Show, CNNRadio 1190 In Dallas/Fort Worth


Jim Lacamp is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager-with Macroportfolio Advisors.  He has been in the brokerage industry for 25 years and is a graduate of Baylor University with a double degree in Economics and Finance.

Jim's first national notice came when, after just a few years in the industry, he was highlighted on FNN (now CNBC) and USA TODAY for his performance in their national stockpicking contest. He currently manages over $400 million in investor assets along with his partner, Pat Reddell. Some of his strategies have also been highlighted in TradingMarkets.com. Jim is a frequent guest on CNBC's Kudlow & Company, and is known for giving accurate and specific advice on the markets as well as his outspoken support of free markets and a frequent criticisms of policies that undermine free market thought. Jim is also the featured financial analyst on CBS Channel 11/KTXA in Dallas Fort /Worth and is regularly appears on a new number of television networks on topics ranging from the markets, to oil prices, to economics. He has also been quoted in INVESTORS BUSINESS DAILY and USA TODAY.

Jim and his partner Pat Reddell have had one of the longest running financial Radio shows in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Their show THE OPENING BELL focuses on the macro events that drive markets, and how to profit from them. Their focus on International markets, and areas outside of mundane and mainstream market mantras have been profitable for their listeners and investors alike. Their understanding of what drives markets is what drives listeners
during drive time. The show runs from 7:30 to 9 am CST on the CNN Radio
1190. Their newsletters, available to clients, are thorough, incisive
and humorous as well.

Jim and Pat's philosophy is simple: "it's our clients money......we work for them"

Jim is active in the Fort Worth Community. He serves on the Board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and is a contributor to " A Wish With Wings". Jim and Pat match donations to "A WISH WITH WINGS" with every home run hit by the Fort Worth Cats. These charities are important to Jim, who has two daughters of his own. Jim is also active in the Fort Worth Club and is a member of the Fort Worth Wildcatter Association.

When he isn't focusing on the markets or on Television, Jim has an interest in COSMIC MULE, a publishing company in Nashville, with three top tens and two number one hits under their belt, and he also enjoys fronting a rock band, SIX FEET HIGH AND RISING.
