Contest Widely Helds and Actives:
Currency Traders have profited the most from trades in the USD/JPY , the EUR/JPY , and the GBP/JPY .
One of our top currency traders has made more than $30,000 in one day on trades in many of the most active currencies in the contest, including the USD/CHF , GBP/CHF , EUR/CHF , EUR/JPY , and CHF/JPY taking advantage of the carry trade.
-A carry trade is when a trader buys a higher-yielding currency (e.g. GBP at 5.00%) against a lower-yielding currency (e.g. CHF at 2.75%) to benefit from the yield differential (e.g. 2.25%). Trading these pairs can be profitable, but they tend to see quite a bit of intra-day volatility.
Sirius Satellite Radio continues its stranglehold on the contest Widely Helds and Actives.
- Industrials continue to represent 30% of the top widely helds followed by Financials at 25%.
