For years now Wall Street gurus have been saying invest in China through the ’08 Olympics. Well, what now?
The thesis was simple; that China would put an unlimited amount of money to work transforming Beijing into a dazzling and modern city.
And ,in fact, they did. By all accounts China’s capital city sparkled and glistened… and impressed the world over the course of the past two weeks
Of course there’s still plenty to be done but no looming deadline anymore. In the face of a global slowdown will China slowdown?
When I look at the iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index I noticed that the chart was putting in a double bottom which is a very bullish technical sign, explains Quint Tatro. I find the risk / reward very appealing.
On the fundamental side it looks like we’re in early earnings of an incredible story, adds Zach Karabell. It’s a great reason to be long term bullish commodities.
