States With the Highest Unemployment Rates

Highest State Unemployment

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 21 states and the District of Columbia reported unemployment rate increases in November, while 15 states registered decreases and 14 states remained unchanged.  Nationally, unemployment was at 9.8 percent in November.
