Five Retail Stock Winners — Rockers, Kids & Babies

It's the kind of retail market that separates the sheep from the goats, and JPMorgan's Brian Tunick thinks the sheep can give investors quite a feast.

Recommendations:

His favorite retailer is Aeropostale.

"It's about trading down," he told CNBC. "People that can't afford to shop at Hollister or at American Eagle Outfitters can afford to shop at Aeropostale.

Buckle makes his list from the opposite end of the spectrum.

"They're actually seeing price increases," he noted. "You've got to get your $65 Ed Hardy T-shirts and your $85 status denim if you want to look like the L. A. rockers, and that's one of the trends that's still working out there."

Rounding out his list are Hot Topic, Gymboree, and Ross Stores.

Disclosures:

A senior executive of Tunick's firm sits on the Aeropostale board.
