Medical supplies company Allegro Medical had a record sales day on its Web site yesterday.

Thanks to concerns about the swine flu, the company sold more than $40,000 worth of N-95 respiratory masks as part of a record day of revenue for the 11-year-old Arizona-based company.

Valerie Paxton, co-owner of the site, told me that the previous high revenue day was in August 2008 when the media started picking up on U.S. volleyball player Kerri Walsh and her use of Kinesio tape. Within a short period of time, AllegroMedical.com sold $30,000 worth of the funny looking tape.
