Executive Decision: Airgas CEO Peter McCausland

Cramer mea culpa: He was wrong about Airgas. He urged investors to sell the stock back on Oct. 24, only to watch the share price climb to just under $43 today. That’s a 28% gain missed by anyone who took his advice.

But Cramer has never been afraid to change his mind if he got the thesis wrong. So he wondered on Wednesday if it were too late to get in on Airgas [ARG  Loading...      ()   ] now. The company reported a better-than-expected quarter after yesterday’s bell, and Cramer thinks there could be another beat coming next time as well. After all, this company does have a history of keeping expectations low only to surprise Wall Street later on.
