100 Days Of Stimulus

It’s been 100 days – no not since President Obama has taken office - but since his stimulus plan passed Congress. So which stocks are the big winners?

It was the middle of February when the President signed his $787 billion economic stimulus package into law with upbeat comments emphasizing the road to recovery.

“One hundred days later, we are already seeing results," Obama said recently.

"In these last few months, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has saved or created nearly 150,000 jobs," Obama said, touting spending on alternative energy, keeping teachers and police officers in work and small businesses.

Obama also said 95 percent of working families have seen a boost in their wages because of the tax cut included in the plan, and laid-off workers have received extra benefits and reductions in healthcare costs.

With so much money pouring into the economy we couldn’t help but wonder which stocks benefited most. Following are the biggest gainers over the last 100 days.

If you’re looking for a trade both Pete Najarian and Guy Adami say Fluor rival URS should be on your radar.

And Joe Terranova thinks FreeportMcMoran and Joy Global are both worth a look as plays on global stimulus packages.
