Apple SF Store Keeps Ringing Up iPhone Sales

So just how busy is Apple'sflagship San Francisco store?

By 915aPDT, 354 customers had come in to buy their iPhone 3GS's. Not bad for a little more than 2 hours of sales. Three hours later, at 1215pPDT, that number had swollen to 647.

And an Apple store worker monitoring foot traffic tells me he fully expects that figure to grow to 800 by 2pPDT.

Sure, that's only limited market research, but it gives you an idea of just brisk these sales can be, and some numerical data behind the Apple mania we're always talking about.

Simple conclusion: Wow.
