Looking for a long-term pick? Find out which stock Pete Najarian thinks could deliver over the long haul.
The Pit Boss is long-term bullish on BP .
As you likely know BP is an integrated oil giant headquartered in the United Kingdom. And a stock that the Fast Money desk talks about often.
"This is a stock I bring up a lot on the show for its dividend yield," says Pete Najarian.
On top of its crude oil businesses, the company is also heavily involved in the development of alternative energy – especially fuels with a low-carbon footprint.
Najarian not only likes BP's commitment to green energy, he's impressed by their global presence.
"23% of revenue comes from the US and the rest globally so it gives you an idea of their footprint. And they’re putting a billion dollars into alternative energies in Brazil," he says.
Considering Najarian isn't typically a long term investors, you might consider his recommendation something like the Good Housekeeping seal of approval.
"I’m a guy that’s always looking for stocks for the next 10 minutes but everything points to this as a stock for the next 10 years," Najarian says.
