Apple Developers Sold Out

In the midst of the global turmoil that sent the Dow down nearly 1,000 points at one point, and the Nasdaq off nearly 200 points, there was some good news for Apple.

Keep in mind that Apple shares were pummeled along with everyone else's, but it appears those developing for the platform are looking to the future.

On the eve of its Worldwide Developers Conference in a few weeks, the "Sold Out" button went live tonight on its official Web site.

Not bad, considering Apple only announced the date for the event a mere 8 days ago. So while big trade shows like CES are doing whatever they can to lure in attendees, Apple will be turning them away.

Oh, and the sell-out comes amid speculation that the buzz at this year's show would be decidedly less because of that leaked iPhone 4G prototype fiasco, which some analysts said would steal Steve Jobs' thunder.
