New York City—where hot dog carts seem to be on many street corners—is being infiltrated by a new wave of gourmet street food vendors. Most are doing business from trucks, making them more mobile. There are also quirky, new offerings, such as warm, grass-fed Angus burgers or crispy Belgian waffles topped with chocolate.
