Fast Money 360: Google

Considering shares of Google are down about 16% over the past three months, how should you game the stock ahead of earnings Thursday?

Seems like a good time for Fast Money 360.

Find out what fundamentals, technicals and insights from the options world all suggest lie ahead for this stock!

-------

FUNDAMENTALS

Citi analyst Mark Mahaney appears to be skeptical ahead of earnings and bullish there after.

He tells Fast Money he’s cautious into the June numbers because, “we could see 5 –10 cents earnings downside due to currency headwinds.”

However big picture he thinks Google is fairly attractive and says "he’s a buyer as a second half play."

-------

CHARTS

Oppenheimer’s Carter Worth is bullish, but for a reason that’s a little counter-intuitive.

”Charts are so bad they’re good, he tells us. “Having sold off by 200 points or 32% from $630 down to $430 we think it bounces.

Plain and simple, "I’m a buyer of Google going into earnings," he concludes.

OPTIONS ACTION

Jon Najarian of OptionMonster.com says options action skews positive.

”Calls have out traded puts in this name by a 2 to 1 margin,” he says.

That fact combined with other analysis leads Najarian to make a bullish prediction. “I’m looking for Google to trade up to $510.”

However in an effort to limit his downside risk, Najarian is placing his bets with call spreads.

What else should you know?

Google is a quality name; fundamentals are strong, says Joe Terranova. After earnings I think the stock trades to the upside.

Also, The stock is $100 lower than where it was ahead of earnings last quarter, adds Karen Finerman. The bar is much lower.
