Strangely Quiet 11 Days for the Dow

In the past 11 trading sessions, the Dow Jones Industrial Average traded in a high-low range less than 100 points, its longest streak since January 2006.

Meanwhile, the NASDAQ Composite hit a new 52-week high today, reaching its highest level since January 2008.

From the close on December 2, the Dow is up 1.1 percent, compared to a 1.8 percent gain for the S&P 500 and a 2.5 percent increase for the NASDAQ.

Could this be indicative of the how the markets take shape at the end of the year?
