At Morgan, Ford will rejoin his former boss at Merrill Lynch, Greg Fleming, who runs Morgan’s asset management business and its Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney brokerage unit.

Ford, who will be a senior managing director, will report to both Fleming and Paul Taubman, who runs Morgan’s investment bank.
