Former Goldman Sachs director Rajat Gupta is being charged for insider trading involving what hedge fund?
Rajat Gupta, a former director for Goldman Sachs, is being charged for giving confidential information to Raj Rajaratnam, a manager for the Galleon hedge fund who played a key role in a 2009 insider trading case. Gupta is suing the SEC for applying the Dodd-Frank law to him retroactively, in order to try him in an administrative proceeding. This would deprive Gupta of the jury trial he would have received in federal court.
