Stocks gained for a fourth session Monday, helped by a bigger-than-expected rise in consumer spending and a gain in pending home sales.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up more than 40 points at the open after closing in the black last week.

So which individual stocks are worth watching today? Here are six that are on the move:

Freeport-McMoran
The mining company was upgraded to overweight from equal-weight at Morgan Stanley with a price target of $65.

The discount retailer was downgraded to neutral from buy at Sidoti.

Alcatel-Lucent
The telecom company was getting a nice pop Monday morning after being upgraded to buy from neutral at Goldman Sachs.

L-3 Communications
The defense contractor was downgraded to underperform from market perform at Oppenheimer.

Nvidia
The semiconductor was upgraded to outperform from market perform at JMP Securities with a price target of $25.

JM Smucker
The food manufacturer was trading at all-time highs not seen since 1959.
