JPMorgan Chase Ending $5 ATM Fee Test

JPMorgan Chase ended its controversial test of higher ATM fees targeted at non-bank customers Friday, according to sources at the bank.

The transaction fees were aimed at non-bank customers' withdrawals. The fees were $5 in Illinois and $4 in Texas.

JPMorgan has no plans at present to permanently increase ATM fees and no further tests are being planned, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Shares of JPMorgan closed up 25 cents, or 0.54 percent, to end at $46.35 on the New York Stock Exchange. The stock was last trading slightly higher in after-hours trade.
