Pops & Drops: Immucor, St. Joe...

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of Immucor popped while St. Joe and Western Uniondropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

Immucor (BLUD) popped 30%. The company agreed to be acquired by TPG Capital for about $2 billion or $27/ share about a 30% premium to Friday’s close. - That will make a stock pop, says Stephen Weiss.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

St. Joe (JOE) dropped 12%. A filing released on Friday showed that the company was under SEC investigation, largely due to accounting issues about how it values its land. - Wait and see, says Tim Seymour.

Office Depot (ODP) dropped 4%. Perhaps investors grew skeptical of recent Street chatter that suggested the company was talking with OfficeMax about a potential merger. - Of the two, I'd play OfficeMax, says Joe Terranova.

Western Union (WU) dropped 4%. The company agreed to buy Travelex's Global Business Payments division for about $968.7 million, to expand its international business payments services. - The dividend yield is a compelling reason to own this stock, says Pete Najarian.

NetScout Systems (NTCT) dropped 18%. The company reported weak preliminary quarterly results and lowered its forecast for the year, hurt by lower spending by U.S. government and financial services clients. - I'd stay away from this one, says Mike Khouw.

Gold Resource (GORO) dropped 5%. Call it a Barron’s trounce, the widely read financial news magazine said shares may be overvalued as production delays at its Mexican mine and the absence of independent drilling studies keep its earnings growth outlook unclear.
