For the past several days, we’ve been talking with money pros about navigating September, historically a treacherous time for stocks.
On Thursday, Jeff Palma, Head of Global Equity Strategy, UBS tells us we’re still in for a pretty bumpy ride.
”We’re in a tough economic recovery characterized by de-leveraging. It’s one that means volatility will remain relatively high. I still think markets can move higher but I think it comes with a lot of volatility along the way,” he says.
How do you navigate?
Palma suggests long positions in companies that have good balance sheets as well as strong exposure to international growth.
"Coke comes to mind, McDonald's comes to mind and maybe even Caterpillar and Joy Global," says Pete Najarian after hearing Palma's forecast.
