HSBC customers reported that they were unable to access their accounts Friday morning.
Customers sent out angry tweets stating that they could not access their cash via ATMS, were unable to use their cards for purchases and that internet banking was down.
HSBC acknowledged it was having trouble with its systems via twitter.
The bank sent out a tweet around noon Eastern Time stating
that they were aware of the issue and are working urgently to fix it.
The bankstated in a tweet around 12:40 Eastern Time
that ATMS were working again.
Shortly after,
HSBC tweeted that card terminalsand internet baking was back up.
HSBC has not returned a request for comment at this time.
