Each January, Adult Video News, the trade publication of the adult entertainment industry, holds the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas.
The event (held Jan. 18-21 this year) features appearances by well-known actors in the industry, as well as new products and companies vying for a piece of the $14 billion adult industry. The expo includes a fan show, a trade show, and an adult novelty expo, and culminates with the AVN Awards held on Jan. 21. Fans unable to visit the event are also given the opportunity to attend virtually through a broadband pay-per-view.

Touching Films
Actress Allie Hayes takes a moment to pose while promoting her upcoming interactive film for the company RealTouch. RealTouch combines patented technology with specially programmed, on-demand adult videos to create web-based virtual sexual experiences. A device that works in tandem with on-screen scenes allows encounters with stars from all of the top studios. Some other products featured at the expo included life-size dolls starting at $700 and contortion bars promoted as “love handles with leverage."
Kayden Kross and Bibi Jones
Kayden Kross and Bibi Jones sign autographs for fans. Kross has a multiyear contract with the popular studio Digital Playground, while Jones made news in 2011 for posing for a photowith National Football League star Rob Gronkowski and wearing in his jersey.
Adult Videogames
You may have heard of a game called World of Warcraft. How about the world of BoneCraft, an interactive game that allows PC users to search an Elf-filled fantasy land in order to find the Elf Queen and her band of lustful minions? The game was released Jan. 12 and has sold 5,000 copies. The game, rated AO (Adults Only), can be played by more than one gamer at a time.
Selena Rose
Selena Rose, an adult actress with Digital Playground, will be presenting at the 2012 AVN awards Saturday, Jan. 21, according to her Twitter feed, @selenarosedp.
Brooklyn Lee
Actress Brooklyn Lee has been involved in the adult industry since 2010. She was at the expo this year promoting her role in “Voracious,” her upcoming film. "I felt very connected to this role,” Brooklyn says. “This is the real me, so it was easy," In the movie, Lee plays a sexy vampire. The film makes its debut online on Valentine's Day.
A Taste of Honey
Maxx Appelman came up with the idea of honey oil and honey lubrication while he was in high school. After being put off by the high price and unattractive packaging of personal lubricants, Appelman decided to make his own product with an investment of $20,000. He decided the cute bear jars used to package honey would be perfect, though in the beginning neither the oil nor the lubricant contained honey.
After being asked by many customers if his lubricant contained honey, Appelman decided to add a small amount and highlight its benefits in marketing materials. Appelman says he intends to give a portion of his profit to a foundation that will help protect bees from colony collapse disorder.

Joslyn James
Joslyn James shows a new side of herself, discussing the importance of giving back to the community and raising awareness of autism. (Her son has the disorder.) "There's a lot of things that people don't know about me and launching my own product line [Shameless], with people understanding the history of why I'm doing it, it'll help open people's minds about me,” she says.
Aside from being a well-known adult actress, James was allegedly associated with Tiger Woods.

Known for her character parodying a former vice presidential candidate, Lisa Ann has gained something of a cult following. In this photo, she signs autographs for fans.

Nate Glass on Piracy
Porn's anti-piracy guru, Nate Glass, likes the idea of cutting profits to sites that traffic pirated material. In discussing Congress' proposed SOPA anti-piracy bill, Glass says, "There are parts that I do like and there are parts that I don't like. I like the parts about cutting funding to [pirating] sites. There are entire criminal organizations built up around pirating; they make millions trafficking pirated stuff. [These are] people who operate in countries who don't care about intellectual property laws and are beyond the reach of American businesses."

Fan favorite and member of CNBC’s 2012 “Dirty Dozen,”Stoya talks about what her admirers say about her in her blog stoya.tumblr.com.
