4 Tradable Takeaways from Davos: Anthony Scaramucci

Halftime Report

Top hedge fund manager Anthony Scaramucci has been on the ground at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

And after talking with some of the most influential people in the world, he put four stocks on his radar.

The first two are Bank of America [BAC  Loading...      ()   ] and Citigroup [C  Loading...      ()   ].

Scaramucci tells us the sentiment in Davos is that the US Federal Reserve has done a fantastic job navigating the recent financial crisis. And that widely held belief should help the ECB stem the woes of Europe.

“All of that should benefit Bank of America and Citi,” he says.

As you might remember, on Wednesday January 25th Scaramucci also recommended long positions in these two banks as plays on a housing recovery.

“Household formation is much larger than people expected and home construction is down – that augers for a bottom,” he said at the time.

The other two stocks he likes are Becton Dickinson [BDX  Loading...      ()   ] and Allscripts [MDRX  Loading...      ()   ].

As campaign finance chair for Mitt Romney, Scaramucci says the chatter at Davos suggests Gov. Romney will win the nomination and the White House.

Of course Scaramucci is bias on that issue – we know that.

But Scaramucci concedes that even if he’s wrong and President Obama is re-elected for 4 more years, he too is committed to improving health care efficiency.

With at least two candidates committed to improved medical technology, the odds of new revenue opportunities are favorable for Becton Dickinson and Allscripts.
