Ryan Will Cost Romney Florida: Street Pro

The Street is at odds over Paul Ryan and whether Mitt Romney made a fatal mistake when he asked Ryan to be his running mate.

And in a live interview on CNBC’s Fast Money Halftime Report, John Taylor, the chairman of FX Concepts tells us Ryan will cost Romney Florida – and likely the election.

“Paul Ryan makes the vote entirely about his tax and spending package and that’s very difficult because you’re going to lose all the old guys,” says Taylor.

As the chairman of the House of Representatives Budget Committee, Ryan was the architect of an intensely controversial long-term budget plan to remake Medicare and cut trillions in federal spending.

In other words, Taylor believes Ryan’s aggressive stand on Medicare will alienate mature Americans and that puts states in play where mature Americans go to retire..

“It will cost Florida,” he says.
