Facebook experienced a few minutes of down time Thursday.
The social network was down for only several minutes, but users noticed and posted about their social media withdrawal on another social media website, Twitter.
'Facebook' was trending term on Twitter in the United States for a few minutes while the website was down.
Facebook said they plan to investigate the outage.
