After a month delay, the latest version of Apple's iTunes was finally revealed Thursday.

Apple launched iTunes 11, a redesigned version of its media software that has improved performance and search results.

Originally, Apple planned to roll out the update in October, but the company delayed the launch because it wanted extra time to make sure everything was working properly.

The new version of iTunes includes better iCloud integration—intended to give users easier access to media they own on all their Apple devices—and a revamped interface, chiefly a navigation menu at the top of the screen instead of on the left-hand bar.

The updated software also includes a "mini player" which allows users to play music without opening their full music library.

One feature not included: A service like Spotify, the music streaming company that allows users to stream limitless songs for a monthly subscription fee.
