Karen Pascoe is the senior vice president/group head of User Experience Design & Implementation for MasterCard's Emerging Payments group. In this role, she is responsible for leading the design of key consumer facing experiences, including MasterPass. She will be focused on connecting business strategy with deep user insights to deliver innovative design solutions.

Prior to joining MasterCard, Karen was a Senior Director at PayPal in a variety of design leadership roles. Most recently, she led experience design for mobile point of sale (MPOS) and experience strategy for products to drive demand for merchants such as offers & loyalty. Preceding this, Karen led a turnaround of PayPal's design capability in conjunction with PayPal's broader efforts to drive innovation & business agility.

Before joining PayPal, Karen developed a design capability for JPMorgan in their Treasury & Securities Services division. In this role, Karen led the design of a full generation of experiences branded JPMorgan ACCESS that allowed customers of the firm to get information & reporting critical to their operations. She was key to a broader agile transformation, in partnership with the product and technology organizations.

She was previously in user experience consulting where she led design engagements with large clients such as American Express, Bank of America, Bear Stearns and Citigroup.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
