Jay Leno's Garage: "The Driving Force"

Share

Jay starts off the show with a joy ride in his classic 1955 Buick Roadmaster. He shares the memories that this car has with him.

He drives over to meet L.A. star-pitcher C.J. Wilson! As it turns out, the two have a huge passion for cars, even before stardom!

Jay leaves Wilson to meet up with the owner of Hennessey Performance, John Hennessey himself!

Jay is interested in seeing if a stock Mustang could reach 200 mph. They strap one on the "dino," or a car's version of a treadmill, and test to see if it could do just that.

The Dino-test didn't show the results that Leno wanted... so John takes the car and makes some slight modifications to see if it could help. The mods prove to be effective!

He jumps on a bike and rides along with the SFMC. He really feels the energy!

Jay is awarded a "200 MPH" trophy for his... observance.

Jay Leno checks in with Donald Osborne to see which one of his classic cars hold the most value: the 1966 Dodge Coronet, the 1918 Pierce-Arrow 66, or the 1970 Monteverdi Coupe. The award goes to the 1912 Pierce Arrow!

Leno teams up with Laurence Fishburne to see who can jump on a BMW track and have the faster record!

Laurence Fishburne is a little nervous for his first time out, but does fairly well with all limbs intact at the finish.

As smooth as Fishburne was, Leno was too quick on the track and completely destroyed his record! Maybe he'll do better for round 2?

Laurence Fishburne does manage to trim down his time, but unfortunately for him, so does Jay!
