Remote jobs might be getting harder to find, but the hybrid job market is thriving.
Recent data from workforce solutions company ManPower Group shows that all industries are offering more hybrid roles month-over-month.
And as more companies eye a full-time return to office, jobseekers are turning their attention to roles that promise at least some degree of flexibility.
FlexJobs surveyed over 8,400 U.S. workers in August and found that 46% of people want a hybrid arrangement — a notable increase from the less than one-third of workers who said they preferred hybrid work over an in-person or remote role just a year earlier.
To help jobseekers find the best flexible gigs, FlexJobs has identified the most in-demand hybrid jobs companies are hiring for by analyzing its database for the hybrid jobs with the highest volume of postings between September 2022 and August 2023.
Here are the 10 most in-demand hybrid jobs companies are hiring for (see the full list here):
- Accountant
- Executive assistant
- Financial analyst
- Customer service representative
- Project manager
- Recruiter
- Paralegal
- Marketing manager
- Account manager
- Writer
Several in-demand hybrid jobs offer salaries well over $100,000: A job ad for a senior financial analyst at U.S. Bank in Milwaukee, for example, lists a salary range of $105,230-$136,180, while an ad for a marketing manager at Verizon with openings in several states comes with a minimum salary of $105,000-$213,000.
On FlexJobs, manager and senior-level roles account for the majority of hybrid postings. Tech, accounting and finance, and marketing are among the top fields hiring for hybrid roles.
