Libra Association, a Facebook-backed digital payment group, said Tuesday it's transitioning to the name "Diem."

Diem is an independent group organized by Facebook to manage digital currencies. Other association members include Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase, Spotify, Lyft and Uber.
