It's time for more Fast Money Madness! As the NCAA Tournament marches on, we're pairing off the most-talked about 64 companies on the street. The guys will determine the winners through debate, and end up with a national champion on April 2nd-- Fast Money's favorite stock.
Get ready for round 2 as the best of Tech and Telecom battle it out: The first big match-up…. #1 seed, GOOGLE (GOOG), vs. #8 seed EMC Corporation (EMC).
Eric Bolling says he’s thinking long term. Although he likes EMC, his pick is GOOG.
Guy Adami says UBS upgrades GOOG and the stock goes nowhere. EMC is going to spinoff VMware (maker of virtual infrastructure) which is 10% of the company. That’s a big deal and he says EMC is a great play.
Tim Strazzini says amen brother! He’s with Guy. EMC is stronger and the secular trend is with EMC.
Jeff Macke says Eric is wrong. GOOG is done and gone. EMC has the trends without the headwinds.
Dylan declares EMC the winner and says it's moving into the Sweet 16.
Onto the next big match up of the night…. #11 seed, Disney (DIS), vs. #3 MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR).
Eric ponders the match-up; a content provider versus a silicon play? Content is king. Eric admits he wants to see Disney in the next round.
Guy Adami says Disney owns ESPN and he can’t bet against that in this tournament.
Tim Strazzini says he’s a huge Disney fan however WFR has much greater upside. The next layer of chips will be at higher margins.
Jeff Macke says Tim’s argument is wafer thin. Disney rocks!
Dylan says Disney goes to the Sweet 16 setting up an Apple v Disney match up going into next week.
