JOSB was up on its earnings report which said that its fiscal net income rose to $43.2 million, or $2.36 a share, from $35.3 million, or $1.95 a share, a year ago. Sales rose to $546.4 million, from $464.6 million at the same point last year. Analysts had been expecting the company to post earnings of $1.25 a share, according to data complied by Thomson Financial.
NL Industries Inc. : If you bought on Monday at $12.12 and held/sold on Tuesday with a close of $13.52, the contestant gained 11.55% on the trade.NL would not comment on the movement of its stock price Tuesday according to a representative for the New York Stock Exchange.
East West Bancorp : If you bought on Monday at $35.86 and held/sold on Tuesday with a close of $39.85, the contestant gained 11.13% on the trade. EWBC announced that its board of directors declared a quarterly common stock cash dividend of $0.10 per share for the second quarter of 2007.
