According to a story in today's Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Boeing is keeping all of its options open in the air refueling tanker competition, disagreeing with an Aviation Week report that it is "strongly considering" dropping out. "That's too strong," a Boeing source tells the P-I, which I guess means that instead of "strongly considering" dropping out, they're only "considering" it. The article says Boeing won't make a final decision on what to do until after the Pentagon releases its final request for proposals, which may come the end of this week. Boeing execs and those from rival Northrop Grumman are separately meeting with Pentagon officials today to discuss the latest tanker request.
