Never in my wildest dreams, would I ever think that'd be paying this kind of amount of money for just living in a house and having a backyard and stuff like that. So Now that I finally have been here for quite some time and letting it settle in, it feels surprisingly normal.

Alright guys, let's go let's check out this house.

Hi, I'm Carter Sharer. I'm a professional YouTuber. I'm 27 years old. I live in Los Angeles, California.  And my rent is about $45,000 per month.

Emma Fierberg, CNBC
Carter is the head of Team RAR,
Team RAR is a collective of YouTube creators known for their unique challenge-style videos.

Sharer: The team RAR house is my house. So I pay for the rent, I found it, I set it up, I keep everything running.

Fierberg: Carter moved himself and Team RAR Headquarters into this home in April 2020. The nearly 2-acre property features 7 bedrooms and 8 baths. The retail value of the home is estimated between $13.5-17 million.

Sharer: It's kind of weird thinking that like I'm living in a house that I can't afford. I mean, I know that I'm affording rent, but there's absolutely no way I'd be able to spend like $20-plus-million on a house

A team house is something that I've wanted to do literally since I started YouTube. … And basically what it is, is … a house, which provides a place for people to film content together to collaborate to hang out each and every day.

Team "RAR" stands for rare and ridiculous, and I feel like that's just like the perfect branding that just describes who I am, what I love to do.
