He started working as a busser at Veselka, New York City's most iconic Ukrainian restaurant, two weeks after moving and has now become a front-of-house manager. Vitalii Desiatnychenko started at Veselka as a busser, and worked his way up to becoming a restaurant manager.

My name is Vitalii Desiatnychenko, I'm 30 years old. I'm Ukrainian, and I work at Veselka restaurant as a front of the house manager. I started almost ten years ago as a busser and have worked my way up through almost every job in the restaurant.

I'm originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, where my family still lives. I moved to New York in 2012 in order to find better professional opportunities and wound up working at New York's most iconic Ukrainian restaurant.
