Local dry cleaners are seeing a boost in business thanks to a new mobile app.

While the convenience of scheduling dry cleaning services online is nothing new, Trrigr, an app that launched this month, connects Manhattan businesses with local residents instead of performing those services itself.
"They're the guy around the corner," said Trrigr founder Joe Tillman of the 20 Manhattan business owners listed on the app. "They've got loyalty and trust built up, and it's really important to the individual to be able to use the person that they've got that built up trust with," Tillman said in an interview with CNBC.

While the app only lists businesses in Manhattan, Tillman said he expects to include businesses in all five boroughs of New York City, and eventually in major cities across the country.
