U.S. franchisees added 25,600 jobs in November, nearly half of what they added in the previous month, ADP said Wednesday.

Franchise jobs grew by 52,600 in October.

"2015 has been a year of very strong employment growth for franchises as evidenced by the fact gains have already exceeded last year by around 50,000 jobs," said Ahu Yildirmaz, vice president and head of the ADP Research Institute. "Plus, the 12 month franchise employment growth rate of 4 percent is double the labor market as a whole."

Restaurants added the most jobs last month, adding 15,060, or 59 percent of the total jobs. Auto parts and dealer franchisees were the second-biggest contributor, adding 6,630 jobs.

Gasoline stations and auto repair shops, however, saw jobs contract by 280, the most out of any franchise category.
