Here's where military service members can get freebies on Veterans Day

Restaurants across the country are saying "thank you" to Veterans on their special day Friday by offering free and discounted meals to active and retired military members.

Just a heads up, you may need to flash your military I.D. or be in uniform to collect.

Here's where to snag freebies on Nov. 11:

  • Wayback Burgers: Get a free Wayback Classic Cheeseburger with the purchase of any side and any drink.
  • Chipotle: Show your military I.D. after 3 p.m. and receive a buy-one-get-one free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos.
  • Ruby Tuesday: Get a free appetizer (up to a $10 value) on Friday.
  • Boston Market: All active duty or retired military personnel and their family can receive one free brownie or cookie with any purchase. No I.D. required.
  • Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse: Receive 50 percent off your meal and three additional guests will receive 10 percent of their meals.
  • Wienerschnitzel: Veterans can get a free chili dog, small fries and 20 oz. drink.
  • California Pizza Kitchen: Get a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu. This offer is for dine-in customers only.
  • Bonefish Grill: Show your I.D. and receive a free order of Bang Bang Shrimp.
  • Hooters: Get a free entree when you present you military I.D. or proof of service.
  • Bob Evans: Pick one of five free breakfast dishes served all day.
  • Red Robin: Get a free Red's Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day.
  • IHOP: Free red, white and blue pancakes available on Friday.
  • Little Caesars: Get a free $5 Hot-n-Ready lunch combo.
  • Applebee's: Receive a free meal from a special menu and get a $5 coupon that can be redeemed Nov. 12-27.
  • Outback Steak House: Get a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage. Also, between Nov. 12 through Dec. 31 military members and their families can receive 15 percent off their check.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings: Free small order of traditional or boneless wings with a side of fries.
  • Chili's: Receive a free meal from a special menu.
  • Cracker Barrel: Enjoy a complimentary slice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake.
  • Denny's: Get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam on Nov. 11, from 5 a.m. to noon.
  • World of Beer: Free beer for all veterans and current service members with military I.D
  • Red Lobster: Free appetizer or dessert with a valid military ID on November 10th and 11th.

Restaurants aren't the only businesses offering special deals for veterans on Friday. Here's a few nonfood related deals:

  • UFC Gym: Free total gym access to all veterans and active duty military as well as their families from Nov. 11 through Nov. 15.
  • American Family Care: Receive a free flu shot on Veterans Day.
  • Great Clips: Receive a coupon for a free hair cut valid through Dec. 31.
  • iPic Theaters: Get a complimentary ticket on Nov. 11. You must provide identification or be in uniform.
  • Publix: Save 10 percent on groceries on Nov. 11.
  • Meineke: Free basic oil change for veterans and active duty military members.
  • Under Armor: Get 15 percent off all orders through Nov. 12.
