Darren Feher

Darren Feher is the President and CEO of Conviva. He joined Conviva in 2009 with 20 years of experience as a media executive and digital media technologist. His goal was to make the quality of online video better for viewers, while also improving online video economics for media businesses transitioning to a multi-platform world.

Under his direction, Conviva has moved from theory, incubated at Carnegie Mellon University, to reality, currently improving over a billion video streams a month for HBO Go, ESPN3, The Olympics, The FIFA World Cup, March Madness on Demand and many others, in over 10 countries.

Prior to taking over at Conviva, Feher was CTO at NBC Universal, responsible for both broadcast engineering and digital technology, which ultimately led NBC to launch hulu.com. Darren Feher graduated from The United States Military Academy at West Point in management and systems engineering and spent five years as an Army Signal Officer. He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and three children.
