Is this Amazon's new smartphone?

Amazon is about to get into the smartphone business and the tech website BGR claims it has pictures of the company's new device.

The e-commerce giant is preparing to roll out a device that features a custom 3D interface and offers Amazon's products and services, according to BGR. The company will also introduce a lower-cost smartphone with lower-end specs sometime after the more expensive model, according to the report.

Speculation about an Amazon smartphone has been circulating for awhile now. It was reported in December of 2012 that the company was working with Apple's iPhone manufacturer Foxconn to build its phone.

Earlier this week the Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon would introduce the device this Fall.

The company also recently launched its Fire TV device, a TV box that enables streaming.
